ALL ABOUT OSSC flag football

This high spirit and zero-contact league gives you an outlet to play your favorite backyard game! Games are played with official-size football. Where possible, teams are split into divisions with other teams with a like caliber. Flags and belts are available for rental.

OSSC Flag Football is offered on Grass Field or Turf Field depending on the season. Check the upcoming league offerings for more details.

HIGHLIGHTS + LeAGUE DETAILS

Choose the night of play that fits your lifestyle! Leagues run on Monday’s (Outdoor Field), Wednesday’s (Outdoor Turf) and Friday’s (Indoor Turf).
Games are 90-minutes (Outdoor) and 55-minutes (Indoor Turf) with rotating start times.
Locations include (but are not limited to): Terry Fox Athletic Facility (Outdoor Field), University of Ottawa Lee’s Campus (Outdoor Turf) and Sooner’s Mega Dome (Indoor Turf).
- OSSC does its best to balance all teams’ locations and timeslots, however; several factors can impact league schedules, including permit updates, and number of registrations.
Leagues begin the week of September 11th (Outdoor) and 18^th (Indoor) and finish up the week of October 8th (Outdoor) and December 11^th. (Indoor)
Rosters & Schedules will be available to registered players at least two (2) days prior to your first game.

Skill Division & Roster

All leagues are Recreational skill based, and fun-focused.
Individual teams will receive a Welcome Letter and Roster update no later than Wednesday, September 6^th.
Mixed Gender Leagues: Teams must always play with a minimum of 2 men and 2 women on the field.
Single Gender: Teams must always play with the same gendered players on the field
Open Gender: There are no minimum gender requirements. Players participate freely without restrictions existing as to how many players of each gender are on the field.

All equipment can be rented through OSSC. Please have your captain or another player ensure the proper equipment is brought to each game.
