Registration is NOW OPEN for Winter 2022 Classes

  • Choose from a variety of class styles including Skills & Drills for various sports, Outdoor activities, and online classes you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home. 
  • Class participants register as individuals (but feel free to invite your friends to join you and register online!).
  • Classes are typically held weekly on a consistent day (i.e. every Tuesday).
  • Many classes offer a multiple sessions throughout the season. Check out your class registration page for dates and number of weeks.

Join OSSC in this NEW outdoor class and explore the landscape of the National Capital Region through Orienteering!

Orienteering is the sport of navigating with a map through a series of checkpoints. It's easy to learn, but challenging with unfamiliar terrain. This is a GREAT way to meet nature-oriented people, learn a unique set of skills and stay active! No compass, equipment or previous experience is needed for this program.

In this 4-week program, you will learn from an Orienteering expert and learn techniques while navigating a course! Each week, you will meet at a new course (Orleans, Nepean, Kanata) - simply dress according to the weather and arrive on time!

Bring your headlamp and snowshoes and come experience the great trails, wonderful scenery, and wildlife of the Gatineau Hills!

This outdoor social program requires no previous experience. Be prepared to travel on and off trails to add a bit more fun and challenge to your experience. Each week, the walk will be approximately 90 minutes in length and will be at a different location in the Gatineau Park and surrounding areas.

Where possible, participants will be invited to warm up after your night of snowshoeing at various nearby local pubs!

In this 2 hour class, the first half will focus on skill development. In the second half, you will have the opportunity to put your skills into practice through game play.

Emphasis will be placed on dribbling, passing/receiving, 1v1 situations, defending, ball mastery and understanding the fundamentals of futsal.
